Learning Creatively
These days we don’t effectively learn by just sitting and listening.
We embrace the thinking of the theologian Dr Leonard Sweet who suggests that in our post-modern world learning should be EPIC – Experiential, Participatory, Image rich and Connective.
So here are some example of the creative approaches we have taken to learning!
We filled the building with an inflatable planetarium and an astronomer helped us explore the wonders of the universe.
We also converted the church building into a garden with reflective stations to explore the Easter message and imagery from C. S. Lewis’ “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”.
And often food is involved! We hold ‘Soul-in-a-bowl’ evenings with a take away and discussion on a thought-provoking topic …
… or pub theology where we meet in a local pub to explore a theological topic or book.
We are always looking for creative ways to explore the Bible and learn about God.
